Third time's a charm

Winter is my favourite season, and it would be my first one in Montreal.

First time I got to Montreal, it was fall. I wasn't a happy camper.

Second time, it got a little bit colder. I decided to be a hobo.

This time, winter is about to arrive. When I return to Montreal tomorrow morning, it is my city.

Rejection Challenge

I first got the idea of Rejection Challenge from a friend in my improv club. He told me how several people he knew are doing this thing for the summer to increase social confidence. I thought it was a sick idea and did some research and found this website.

This game is originally invented by a guy named Jason Camely, an entrepreneur . It turns out that a lot of people are doing this thing in order to overcome their fear of social rejection and get out of their comfort zone. The idea caught on especially after a guy named Jia Jiang videotaped what he did and one of his videos went viral.

If you think this is a pretty cool thing to do, check it out! You can either talk to me, Jason or Jia. We are all open for questions and discussions!

Please note: Rejection Challenge is NOT a therapeutic way to treat Major Depressive Disorder. If you are currently suffering from depression or suspect that you are, please don’t mistake this as some sort of medical treatment! I am only using Rejection Challenge as a medium to fundraise for and promote depression awareness! It’s the reason why I didn’t use the name “Rejection Therapy”.

What is Clinical Depression?

Major Depressive Disorder is about to become the 2^nd most prevalent health condition in North America. It is by far the most prevalent psychological disorder. Yet, it is poorly understood and the patients are highly stigmatized. The objective of this campaign is to raise awareness and understanding regarding depression and remove the stigma, on top of fundraising for the non profit organization (TWLOHA) battling for the same cause.

If you are currently suffering from Major Depressive Disorder, please do not hesitate to talk to your loved ones. Understand that your family and friends probably still love and care about you, even though they might not get what you are going through. Do seek professional medical help and therapy. By simply talking your therapists

If you have a loved one suffering or possibly suffering from depression, please do not hesitate from reaching out to them. While someone in a depression may often isolate them from social contact, people are actually what they needed the most. Be more patient and understanding because they are suffering a medical symptom that prevents them from being their true selves.

Whether you are suffering from depression, have loved ones suffering from it, or even just simply wanting to learn more, you can help you and others by simply educating yourself and talk about depression! The more people are willing to openly discuss a certain issue, the quicker it will be brought to attention and resolved. The biggest reason why depression is badly understood and poorly treated is the fact that nobody is willing to talk about it.

I am neither a professional nor an expert on Major Depressive Disorder, I simply want to raise awareness and open the channel of communication!
